Volunteers

A cancer diagnosis can be overwhelming and challenging for both patients and their loved ones. During these times, a compassionate, understanding voice—especially from someone who has faced a similar battle—can make all the difference.

Victory in the Valley, Inc., believes no one should face cancer alone. Our support programs and services are designed to ensure that every individual receives the empathy, guidance, and care they need on their journey.

Volunteer Opportunities

Hospitality Centre and/or Treatment Rooms

Volunteers visit Wichita, Newton and Independence treatment rooms.  As a volunteer, you’ll have the opportunity to visit treatment rooms, offering snacks—and, most importantly, a compassionate presence for patients and their families.

Victory House

This is a great opportunity to support Victory in the Valley by assisting with various tasks behind the scenes, without direct patient interaction.

Women’s Boutique

Located at Victory House, this opportunity allows you to help women select the perfect wig, hats, turbans, scarves and other gifts—helping them feel beautiful, confident, and cared for.

Prayer Support

An opportunity to offer prayer support for patients and families providing comfort and strength during a difficult time. This is done confidentially through email, allowing you to uplift others to God with compassion and care. â€‹â€‹
