Spirit Lifter:

GOD CHANGES LIVES

Perhaps your life, like mine, has been touched by cancer or another serious illness.  Whether you are the patient or caregiver, a life-threatening illness can affect our lives negatively in many ways – physically, mentally, emotionally, spiritually.  Trying to cope with life’s difficulties creates huge challenges which often feel overwhelming.  Some of those challenges involve dealing with worries, guilt, panic, regret, fear, and doubts.  When our focus remains only on the challenges in our life, it seems that “victory” over those challenges feels unattainable.  We may look at others who seem to be coping so much better than we are and wonder how they are able to face life’s difficulties with strength and courage, when we feel so weak and frightened?  But perhaps we are seeking a complex answer to a simple truth... “When we choose to trust, even in the worst of circumstances, God changes lives in positive ways.”  We receive His gift of peace in the midst of turmoil, strength for the journey ahead, hope and love’s healing balm.
